At the Dance Scholarship Trust AGM held in Deerhurst St Mary on Saturday 3rd September Tony Evans presented a gift of thanks to Hugh Conway Morris for all his hard work in organising the Great Thames Row, for captaining the skiff and most importantly for remaining indefatigably cheerful throughout.

Well done Hugh!

As many of you will know this year’s Dance Scholarship Trust AGM was held at York House, Malton, Yorkshire on the 4th-5th September. A special mention goes to Nigel Copsey, who provided us with amazing support in helping us organise the event. The weekend was concluded by an educational walk from Castle Howard to the Mausoleum. Thanks again for everybody who came and helped to make this another great weekend. Hope to see you again at next year’s AGM…

…which will be on the 3rd-4th September 2011 where it is our intention to hold the AGM in Tewkesbury. We would appreciate it if there are any scholars who are local to the area, or have local knowledge, and would like to help us with tips, cakes and anything else contact Harriet asap.

The 2009 scholars are currently organising a fundraising event for the Dance Scholarship Trust during the 2nd Bank holiday in May (25th-30th). We would like to challenge the trustees to come and join us and row from London to Kelmscott. Details are being finalised, however it will be over 5 days and people are invited to come for a day, or more, and join us in the evening to give their support. Again if anyone is interested, please email us.

The 2008 scholars are organising a pub quiz for February/March 2011. We will keep you updated on where and when!

On a financial note, please remember that even a small regular donation means a lot for the Trust. The Trust was started and grows through the generous help from you and friends of the Trust.

There are many ways to contribute; either through DST Standing Order Form, PAYE schemes and one-off donations.  For those who’ve heard of Just Giving, the DST has a page set up for donations at
